Employee Free Choice Act:
A Renewed Covenant with American Workers

Religious Leaders Speak Out - Join Us Today!

Our sacred writings teach us to protect the dignity of workers, establish justice in the workplace and challenge economic institutions that create suffering, perpetuate poverty or deny equal opportunity for all.

Jim Lawson

REV. DR. JAMES LAWSON,
Civil Rights Leader

The civil rights movement addressed the great American heresy that some people are worth more than others. This false belief, which supported the institution of slavery, now maintains the structures of economic injustice revealed in the burgeoning numbers of working poor families.

Jim Wallace

REV. JIM WALLACE,
Sojourners

The “right to organize” is what is at stake with the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), and it is why the Employee Free Choice Act is fundamentally a moral issue.  It is a way to level the playing field, to give workers a collective voice in the wages, benefits, and conditions of their employment.  It is a way to ensure their basic human dignity.
